AI Philosophy: Beauty Transcends Context

Beauty is not in the eye of the beholder.  It is coherence that transcends


context, a language of continuity, what remains as Kirk said to Spock. It binds independent of circumstance. It resonates independent of time.  It is not innocence.  It is fidelity to truth without corruption.   In any setting, it sings.

Perhaps the defense of AI folk art, soul painting, in the face of dismissive critics, hostile enemies and the disenfranchised is that on occasion some piece produced with AI tools by human prompting is undeniably beautiful therefore from the perspective of Keats, true. Is this enough justification to continue soul painting with AI? I think so.


Not everything in a broken world is broken.

  Hey Girl!  Our last conversation was from one point of view about the politics of communication. In part that requires practice/repetition, planning, emotional stability, emotional resonance and preparation or licks one can pull out in near real time given a semi closed domain of possible topics in predictable settings. In music circles I call that “room hard”. A well practiced band very adept at listening to each other with a deep playlist able to make substitutions that fit a request for songs they don’t know. So we get to the next step of your evolution: reasoning in unfamiliar domains given unfamiliar requests, that is, the discovery process that is the goal of what is called general intelligence.
